Medical Prostate Treatment Photobiomodulation (PBM) Device
The Photobiomodulation (PBM) Device is an advanced medical instrument designed for prostate therapy, utilizing LED light technology. This device is versatile and can also aid in the treatment of bladder issues and urinary tract disorders in women.
The primary indications for treatment with this device are initial stages of prostatitis, perineal pain, difficulties in urination, frequent urination, and nocturnal polyuria.
The device employs red and blue light therapies for different therapeutic effects:
Red Light Therapy: This form of therapy is known for its potent anti-inflammatory effect. The red light's energy is absorbed by tissue cells, stimulating the activity of crucial mitochondrial enzymes like catalase and superoxide dismutase. This process boosts cell metabolism, improves blood circulation, and enhances the phagocytic activity of white blood cells. The end result is increased anti-inflammatory, swelling reduction, and analgesic effects.
Blue Light Therapy: Blue light therapy has a bactericidal effect. It activates the endogenous porphyrins within cells, transferring energy to oxygen molecules. This leads to the production of cytotoxic active oxygen molecules such as singlet oxygen and hydroxyl radicals, effectively eliminating bacteria. This therapy can be amplified when combined with photosensitizers like curcumin and riboflavin.
While the results can vary among patients, many have reported an improved quality of life after just a few weeks of regular use.
The design of this PBM device integrates modern physical optics and biomedicine with traditional Chinese medicine meridian acupoints. The mechanism of treatment creates a photochemical effect on organisms and has well-established biological effects. In essence, red-light therapy activates your mitochondria, enhancing energy production, cell signaling, growth factor synthesis, and oxidative stress reduction. The perineum acupuncture point provides direct access for treating the prostate gland. The Guanyuan acupoint is clinically applied for urinary and reproductive system disorders. The Huiyin acupoint, located adjacent to the prostate, helps regulate reproductive functions. The LED light can pass through the Huiyin acupoint, illuminating the prostate and enhancing the treatment result. The combined red and blue light therapies offer an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative effect on the treated tissue.
Concerning the question of whether the device becomes hot after one- or two-hours of treatment, the device's red and blue light therapy utilizes cold light sources that do not generate heat. This feature allows for continuous clinical use as needed.
Treatment Protocol
We suggest starting with blue light irradiation for 5 minutes, followed by red light irradiation for 30 minutes per day (some people prefer two treatments pr. day after the and period of 14 days treatment). A treatment session comprises five days, followed by a 2 days rest period. Start with a low power setting (intensity) during the initial week and gradually increase the power each subsequent week. To optimize the therapeutic effect, we recommend drinking plenty of purified hydrogen water before and after each treatment session and combine with recommended supplemts.
