Super EPA (200 soft gels)
Fish Oil Concentrate
Super EPA Fish Oil Concentrate is a rich source of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids of the ω-3 (omega-3) type, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). EPA has a 20-carbon length and five double bonds, and DHA has a 22-carbon length and six double bonds. The remaining
fish oil material is comprised of other fatty acids, such as palmitic and oleic acids, in non-standardized amounts. Super EPA Fish Oil Concentrate is obtained from anchovies, a cold water fish, which are found in their natural habitat of the coastal waters of Peru. The fish oil is molecularly distilled, and each batch is tested to insure purity and the absence of heavy metals and other contaminants. Friend of the Sea certified
Key features
- Provides key omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA
- Supports cellular membrane integrity and fluidity, especially in the retina and brain
- May support the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal and immune systems
- High quality, safe and tested product
Fish oil product standards are vital, but they need to be genuine. For example, there's no "pharmaceutical standard" for fish oils. Our Super EPA Fish Oil Concentrate meets or exceeds the actual industry standard set by the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and adheres to the European Union directives' limits for contaminants.
Super EPA's concentrated ethyl esters are highly stable and widely preferred globally. They are well-absorbed and have been used in clinical studies for over 15 years. The pharmacokinetics of fish oil in both triglyceride or ethyl ester forms are similar.
These fatty acids maintain cell membrane fluidity and function, crucial for the retina and brain. Fish oils support cardiovascular health, as EPA and DHA play a role in lipid metabolism and healthy blood flow. They also contribute to the proper functioning of the heart.
EPA and DHA support brain health, the musculoskeletal and gastrointestinal systems. DHA is crucial for fetal and infant brain development and supports cognition and mood throughout life. Both EPA and DHA are found in cell membranes where they help regulate signal transduction.
