Quick Overview

MycoMedica Chaga
Chaga has been part of traditional Russian and Chinese medicine, which believe in its ability to rejuvenate and calm down the body and the mind. Choose Chaga with the most optimal ratio of active substances.

Why is 30% polysaccharides an optimal concentration in our Chaga? Our Chaga grows in the ecologically clean natural environment of the northeast Chinese upland on the trunks of a birch tree. The part of the mushroom we use is fruitbody.

Ideal composition, maximum strength and efficacy
Chaga (conk trunk rot fungus, Inonotus obliquus, Kabanoanatake) is a wood-decaying mushroom from the Polyporaceae family, which grows mainly on the birch. Thanks to biofermentation and subsequent processing with the method of double extraction (first extracted with water and then with alcohol), we offer high-quality extracts from chaga in the ideal active substances ratio for the best results: minimum 30 % polysaccharides (33-34 % in reality)

About Chaga
Chaga first forms multi-year sporocarps, which are up to 35 cm long. Only later on, when the tree dies and mycelium has reached deep under the bark, perfect sporocarps are formed. It comes from regions of Russia and Siberia, it’s also commonly found in northern Poland etc. Chaga has already been a part of traditional Russian medicine for several hundred years. It’s mostly used by the people of Khanty, for them, it’s very valuable and appreciated. Chaga is rich in a large number of bioactive substances, besides vitamins and minerals, it also contains melanin, thanks to which it has a dark colour, triterpene compounds betulin and betulinic acid, which it gets from its host – the birch, obliquol, and it also contains very important polysaccharides - beta glucan, flavonoids, sterols or pteridine. Raw material from Chaga, which we use, is grown on birches in northern China (the Hei Long Jiang province) and eastern Siberia, where nature is practically untouched by humans.

Quality:
The foundations of MycoMedica stand on the following strong pillars: QUALITY - SAFETY - EFFICIENCY

Emphasis on the environment
Most of our raw mushroom material comes from China. Ecology isn’t often a priority for contemporary China. Therefore, it’s difficult, but at the same time necessary to seek absolutely pure nature untouched by industry for cultivation of medicinal mushrooms. MycoMedica mainly uses mushrooms grown in in the Fujian, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces, where there are areas virtually untouched by civilisation. Pesticides, heavy metals, microorganisms, moulds, radioactivity are a danger, which raw mushroom material must be protected against unconditionally.

Testing in Agrolab
All the raw mushroom material we use to produce our mushroom products is tested before processing in Agrolab, an independent German laboratory for more than 500 types of known heavy metals, pesticides and microorganisms that are harmful to humans. We are able to present these tests on request.

Classic tests conducted by the German lab. Agrolab have now been expanded with testing forpolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which have carcinogenic effects, which can affect fetal development and are also linked to cardiovascular diseases. The final production of our products takes place under the strictest hygienic conditions in the Czech Republic. For our production, we use the standards ISO 9001/2009, certified HACCP and the system of quality IFS.
